General Description: A grizzly bear mutated to become a deformed giant super bear. It is believed that its mutation was caused by its mother’s consumption of fish contaminated with Inorganic Methylmercury, which caused the mutation of this monster when it was still in the womb. Some parts of the Katahdin’s body got frozen in different stages of fetal development effectively making him “a part of everything in God’s creation.”
Friends, Associates, and Sidekicks: None. Katahdin is one mean bear.
Sworn Enemies: Everybody and Everything on its path
Special Powers: Running on hind legs, breathing under water
Weapons of Choice: Powerful paws
Weaknesses: It is believed that Katahdin experiences constant pain caused by its deformity.

Best Lines: N/A
Total Estimated Power Rating: 7
1 Intellect Points + 5 Base Physical Strength Points + 1 Shock Point
Danger Level: High. Driven insane by constant pain, Katahdin is an extremely mean spirited animal. It attacks everything it encounters not for the sake of food, but simply for the sake of killing things. Extremely persistent in pursuing its victims, Katahdin is also capable of remaining absolutely still and noiseless if ambush seems to be a more logical option.
Identification: A giant bear that looks like it was severely burned on one side. Unlike most bears, Katahdin always moves on his hind legs and can be considered a quadruped only theoretically.
How to Avoid: If, when hiking in Maine, you encounter a forest that looks suspiciously Pacific North Western – you have reached the Katahdin’s habitat. The only suggested course of action is to leave the area immediately.
Suggested Actions in Case of Encounter: If unable to escape – try to hide in the notorious Native American underground tunnels. Maine forests are full of them.
Suggested Killing Techniques: Katahdin is virtually indestructible. Its skull and skin are extremely thick and its deformed organs are often located in the most surprising places. Its only week spot is the eye sockets – shooting Katahdin in the eye or even poking it in the eye with a sharp stick is extremely effective.

  2. You failed to mention she's got a brain that's turned to mush via mercury poisoning. That's another reason why she's so homicidal.
