Nomad

Name: Probe 2002-45b Nomad MK-15c
Category: Robot, Space Probe, Computer, Technological Lifeform
Age: 265 years
Size: Length – 1 Meter; Weight - 500 kilograms
Origin: Earth
Habitat: Outer Space
General Description: Robotic space probe capable of independent logic launched from Earth in 2002 and programmed to seek new life forms. Reported to be destroyed in a collision with a meteor, Nomad has survived the collision although lost most of the data from its memory banks. Soon thereafter Nomad has encountered Tan Ru – an alien space probe programmed to collect sterilized soil samples. The two probes mysteriously fused with one another combining each other programs to the best of their ability. Due to significant gaps in the original data caused by collision with the meteor, Nomad’s new program is dangerously erroneous. Combining its technology and logic with that of Tan Ru, Nomad has evolved into an extremely powerful robotic super probe traveling through space in search of what it considers to be the perfect life forms and destroying biological civilizations it encounters.
Friends, Associates, and Sidekicks: Tan Ru
Sworn Enemies: Kirk
Special Powers: Capable of destroying population of an entire star system in a matter of seconds. Armed with immensely powerful weaponry. Capable of erasing all knowledge (but not Swahili language) from the mind of a human being. Possesses amazing medical and technological capabilities.
Weapon(s) of choice: Bolts of energy equivalent to 90 photon torpedoes
Weakness(es): The logic of this computer can be turned against itself. Bound by logic and programming Nomad can destroy itself if tricked into doing so.
Hobbies: Being perfect, being Nomad
Pet Peeves: Unstable Biological Infestations
Best Line(s):
1) My function is to probe for biological infestations, to destroy that which is not perfect. I am Nomad.
2) That unit is defective. Its thinking is chaotic. Absorbing it unsettled me.
3) I am perfect. I am Nomad.
Total Estimated Power Rating: 26
10 Intellect Points + 4 Base Physical Strength Points + 6 Weapon Points for the super powerful bolts of energy + 1 Point for Mind Wiping Skills + 5 Points for Ultimate Invulnerability
Power Rating Estimate Notes: Nomad is a technological life form of the highest order. Its powers are almost limitless and its knowledge is immense. Its logic however is flawed and this presents the one and only chance to turn its own powers and logic against itself. Direct confrontation with Nomad is pointless. WARNING: Nomad explodes when destroyed.

Thank you for your comment. You are of course right and I have corrected my mistake. Changeling is indeed a great episode and I would definitely include it in my top 10 as well. Thank you for reading – I wasn’t sure if anybody reads any of this really, and your comment was a very pleasant surprise.
